Summer Welcome not only offers incoming students an opportunity to learn about the university, but also their parents. During the Summer Welcome session, parents are put into small groups just like the students. Summer Welcome leaders explain that this gives parents the opporuntity to get to know each other and ask questions they may have about Mizzou. Parents attend numerous programs throughout the session to learn about financial aid, privacy policies and campus safety.
